Prolon contains all you need for 5 day cleanse, but here's a little extra

Memo: Free Foods on ProLon 5-Day Fasting Mimicking Diet (FMD)

To: ProLon Group Fast Participants
Subject: Guidelines for Additional “Free” Foods During ProLon

Remember: This is 5 days, and you will be back to healthy (mostly) plant based diet

The ProLon 5-Day Fasting Mimicking Diet (FMD) is specifically designed to provide optimal benefits by mimicking a fasting state. While the diet includes pre-measured and scientifically formulated meals, some participants may wish to include additional “free” foods. These should align with the ProLon framework and not disrupt the fasting benefits.

Free Foods to Consider

  1. Cucumbers:
    • Approved and often recommended as a free food due to their low-calorie, high-water content.
  2. Leafy Greens and Salad (No Oil or Dressing):
    • Allowed: Small portions of plain greens like lettuce, spinach, or arugula.
    • Avoid calorie-dense toppings like croutons, nuts, or cheese.
  3. Vinegar:
    • Allowed: Small amounts of vinegar, such as apple cider or balsamic vinegar, can be added for flavor to your greens, you can pop some in the soups. Ensure it contains no added sugars or oils.
    • Avoid creamy or calorie-laden dressings.
  4. Herbs and Spices:
    • Allowed: Fresh herbs (basil, parsley, cilantro) and spices like black pepper, turmeric, or paprika can enhance flavor without adding calories. Taste the soup before you spice and then add what you would like.
  5. Other Low-Calorie Vegetables:
    • Potential Options: Celery, zucchini, or a small amount of radishes may be acceptable. Stick to vegetables with low-calorie and low-glycemic profiles.

Guidelines for Inclusion

  • Portion Control: Keep portions small to avoid exceeding the calorie thresholds designed to mimic fasting.
  • Avoid Caloric Additives: Do not add oils, dressings, or other calorie-containing ingredients.
  • Hydration Priority: Focus on water, herbal teas, and the provided ProLon drinks for hydration.

Why Stick to Guidelines?

The ProLon FMD is designed to activate cellular rejuvenation, improve metabolic markers, and promote autophagy. Adding foods beyond the recommendations may disrupt these processes, so adherence to the plan is crucial for optimal results.
